We had a fun morning helping with beautification at Glacier Ridge Elementary School!
Upper Valley Career Center students toured Ahlum & Arbor’s shop. We love talking with students interested in arboricultural careers!
Arbor Day 2016
The entire Ahlum & Arbor team celebrated Arbor Day at Franklin Park Conservatory on April 29-30. Activities included tree climbing, exhibits of live tree roots, equipment and pruning demonstrations, and a free pruning class.
As part of Ahlum & Arbor’s corporate partnership with the Ohio Wildlife Center, we donate tree pruning and removal services. While we’re always disappointed when a tree can’t be saved, the removal of this 75+ year old diseased sycamore made more space for a pollinator garden.
The Ahlum & Arbor took a break from work at the Ohio Wildlife Center to learn about the center’s work and the animals in their care. The entire team (including office staff) donated a day of tree pruning services to the Ohio Wildlife Center. We are proud to support the center’s mission to foster awareness and appreciation of Ohio’s native wildlife through rehabilitation, education and wildlife health studies.
Ron and Josh of Ahlum & Arbor donated their time to prune and remove dead wood from a large silver maple at Franklinton Gardens. Franklinton Gardens is a non-profit urban farm dedicated to growing and sharing healthy food, creating beauty, and building community with our neighbors.
Our crews helped Franklin Park Conservatory with a technical removal of one of their palm trees inside the Palm House.
Ahlum & Arbor hosted students from Knox County Career Center; students toured our facility, learned about the field of arboriculture, and even tried a little climbing!
Thank you to employees Bill Fitch, Will King, Tiffany Starr and Chris Zakrzewski for representing Ahlum & Arbor at a golf outing supporting Glacier Ridge Elementary School! Tiffany won the women’s longest drive award!
Arbor Day 2015
In honor of this special day, Ahlum & Arbor employees (office staff included) donated a full day of work at Scioto Gardens Nursery. Crews spent the day removing dead trees, cutting low branches, and removing hazardous limbs.
Arbor Day 2013
Ahlum & Arbor Tree Preservation celebrated Arbor Day on Friday, April 26, 2013 by volunteering all day at the Northwest Franklin County Historical Society. The entire company including four tree pruning rigs with bucket trucks, an 80-foot crane, 12 plant heath care crews, and the office staff spent the day pruning and providing fertilization and plant healthcare services for the stately mature trees on the grounds of the Northwest Franklin County Historical Society.
Ahlum & Arbor Tree Preservation removed hazardous trees and branches from the site that is the location of Hilliard’s Solebrate! Food and Music Festival and the Franklin County Fair.
